A great throng of people gathered in this city froni every state in the unión to anticipation of the event aml the services liad to he repeated four times in order that the people present might witness the e.xercisos. Tho building cost over $20,000, and the leader in the dedicatory services was Dr. E. J. Foster-Kddy, the adopted son of the mother and founder of the sect, assisted by Dr. S. J. Hann. The uew church starts on its course entlrely free from debt. Over 215,000 subscriptlons were received without ny begging or borrowing, and the ground upon which the church is built was given by Rev. Mary Baker-Kddy and is valued at $40,000.
