TORONTO, Ont., Jan. 7. - File was discovered in the basement of The Globe building, on the corner of Young and Melad streets. 's new wholesale dry goods storo was wiped out, entailing a loss of $70,000 on the building and $100,OiK) on stock which had only been moved in a few days ago. . The above with other losses make the total reach $(5(B,000; insurance, f451,000.
