SFRnraFIELB, Jan. 10.- Both houses of the Illinois legislatura wore calleil to order on time nul the Republicana lmmecliiitoly prooeeded to organizo. In the senate Licutcnaut Governor Gilt called tho niembers to order and atter prayer by Hrv. il F. Troxell, Chicf Justiee Wilkms swore all the meinbers. The Republican cauotis nouiinees wero then elected, Beats were drawn and the usual notiíications sent to the goyemot and liouso. Adjourned. The house proceodings were similar. Meyer was elected speaker and made a brief address, and tho othér Hepublican caucus nomíneos wru duly tnstalled. Little business was done save the cations to governor and sonate, and the house adjournec'. Grovernor Altgeld's message will beread today. There is no change in the senatorial situation. It is Cullom against the üeld, with the chances in favor of Cullom. It has been decided that the Republican senatorial caucus shall be held Thursday evening, Jan. 17.
