NEWYOKK, -$fn. 10.- For more than o, week it has toren known all over the country that the wife of Willium Waldorf Astor, head of the Astor fainily, was dead, and for several days the body has been lying in the mortuary chapel of old TrinIty. Yet all this timo the New York Astors have been giving parties, dinners and going to entertainments, regardless of the death in the fauiily. It is now announced that the reason of this levity In the circumstances is that tiiey have not been officially notified of Mrs. Astor's death!
