Considerable sensation was created in the west eiid of London recently by a newspaper vonder, attired in a most extraordinary snit of canvas held together entirely by safety pias, who frequented the most important thoroughfares for the greater part of the day. A close serntiuy revealed a gliinpse of a snowy ehirt front not altogetber concealed by the Btrange canvas suit and fingers loaded with handsome rings not usually found on the general run of news venders, whilo ho deliverert the contents of ■lis bill with a most aristocratie drawl. It appears thatapartyof "Johnnies" vvere assembled togeiher in the Cafe Monico a few days sinoe, and a discussion arose between them as to the sale of papers in thestreets, onegildedyouth isserting that he would, for a wager of L50, sell a certain number of papers in a certain time under certain conditious, which was inmediately snapped up by one of his companions, with the result that tho youth appeared in the streets under the circumstances related above He was closely attended wherever he went by a large crowd and was the subject of numerous irreverent remarles from the legitímate paper sellers, who could uot mako it out at all.
