The passengers on trolly car No. 26 were horrified while approaching the corner of Main and Washington streets yesterday, to see a well dressed young man suddenly rush from a store near by and stand erect in front of the rapidly advancing car. The motorman tried to stop the car, but his efforts were of no avail, and the car struck the foolhardy young man squarely in the breast, sending him about 30 feet ahead. He quickly arose, however, and was about to make the second attempt when a policeman appeared on the scène, and the young man quickly disappeared in the crowd and was lost to view. Investigation, however, has since proven it to be one of Cracker Jack's foot ball team practising for the great foot ball game in the Ann Arbor Light Infantry entertainment, February 11 and 12.
