Sheep and cattle ranchers in Southwest Texas are asking the state to help them to extermínate or to keep l iown the wild animáis that are playj ing havoc with stock in that rag ion. So far frora the advont of settlers out the panthers, wolves and coyotes, the animáis are increasing greatly in numbera throug-h the plenty o{ foo:l afEorded by the vast herds of cattle and sheep. The ranchers have spent thousands of dollars in to abate the pest, but without avail, and now they want the state to take a hand.
