'Does your clothing fit you?" is likely to become a cominon question among the eoldiers. It has been a custom largely followed by soldiers to draw from the quartermaster's stores larg-er in size than needed, so that they could have it made over and fitted better to the person; but the quartermaster general thinks this an unnecessarv expense, to the soldiers, and a few days ag-o wrote a requisition attention to that part of the army regula tions which speeifies that "no issues of clothing of larger sizes than actually needed for the enlistad men, for the puipose of them into smaller sizes can be made," and which also makes it a dut? of the commanding officers to see that the tmmada clothing-, when made, conforms strictly to tho standard pabterns.
