TliatHU ordimuicc "f tliis city, entIÜed"An Ordiuance KelatlVeto Uceases, passed July fi, 1891, and approved July 15, 1891, bc and the same is hereby ameudea by the iuscrtnou of three new seotions to stttna as Sections 13, 14, and 15, of the said ordiuance, the oki sections numbered 13, 14, 15 and 16, to be renumbered and hereafier known as Spctions 16, 17, 18 and 1H, respectively ; the said new seetions to read and be as follows: Cee. 13. No person, flrm or Corporation, sliall lay, a-ter or repair any drain or sewer connected wlth, or intended to become a part of the city sewer system, or snall construct, alter or repair auy plumbing work m any building írom or through whlcË it is expected or Intended lodiscbarge sewageinto or through the city sewera, unless said person, tlrni or corporation shall have previoiisly been duly lie.ensed as a city plumbor by tbls city. Sec. 14. Any person, firm or corporation desiring to obiain a lioense as city plumber of tliis city, shall file an applioation in writing tor the same wlth tue City Clerk, inwhicn the applieaut shall set forth hi.s name or legal title, and place of business. The said applicaiït ehall also exeeute and submit aloug with the said applicatioo, a good and sumeient bond, in the penal sum of one tbousand dollars, with iwo or more sureties, eaeh of whom shall justify in real estáte mtuated ia said city of Ann Arbor, in a um equal to the imount of the said bond, over and aboye all indebteduess, anu all exemptions írorn sale ou exeoution, The said bond shll be eonditioced as follows: That the. said licensee shall well and truly pfrlorm all work undertakeu by virtueof me tsaid lioense. strictly accordin to the rules ind rcgulations of tiie Board of Public Works of said city of Arm Arfcor, which are in force at the time of executini; saia bond, or whleh may be adopted at any time thereafter, and subjectatall times to the inspection of said Hoarü.or any of lts members, in eveiy piuco and particular. 'Xliat the said licensee shall save harmless ind indemnity the said city of Ann irbór 'rom any and all claims, charges or liability, losües or damuges, suils, actions, judgments ind executions, of whatever name or nature, hatshallor may at auy time arise, come or je brougbt agamst the said city of Ann Arbor, by réason of any injury, loss or damage sustained by any one, e ther in person or in property, by. from or thi'ough any imperfect, or iinproper work of the said lieensee, or by, from or through any detective, imperfect or uniit materials used in any such work, or by, rom or through the neglect or fallure of said icensee to properly and efl'ectively guard and protectany excavationsor piles uf maieterials or dirt in, along or upon any street. alley, avenue, commons or other public place, :aused in performlng any work undortaken by virtue of said iieense. That said licensee shall, immediately upon the completion of any work undertaken by virtueof the said license, well and truly replace, restore or renew any portions of pavement, sidewalk, crosswalk, curbing or street surface, torn up, disturbed, removed or encuinbered by reason of any work undertaken by virtue of the said license, so that the same shall be and remain for a period of six months in tirst class coudition, satisfaclory to the saia Board of Public Works. That the said licensee, hiSwigents and servante, shall and will at all times comply with the provibions of any and all ordinances of said city of Ann Arbor, relativo to the use of streets, alleysand public places, and all ordinances providiiiK for the suitable and effeetive protection of excavations and piles of materials in and along or upon any such streets, alleys, commons and public places, wu Ie engaged in any work under said license, and ehall aud will ereet and maintain a good and sufHcient fence, raihng or barrier around any excavations or pies of material so made as aforesaid, in such a manner as to prevent any accident, injury or daruages, and shall and will maintain upon such ralllhg. fence or bairier suitable and suflicient red lights during the hours of the night. After the said bond shall have been approved by the Common Council. and upon receiptof a license fee of oue dollar, the City Clerk shall issue a license as city plumber to the said applicant, the s:üd license not to be ;iiil remain in torce for a longer period than one year from its date of issuanoe, and all sucli licenses to expire on the tirst day of May next succeeding the said date; proyided, however, that no llcenee shall expire beiore .May 1, JCWU.
