Bright Eyes is the daughter of the head chief of the Omaha tribe of Indians. She was edncated at the Presbyterian mission school on the reservation, at a young ladies' boarding school iu New Jersey and at Wellesley college, MassachuSetta She is timid and retiriug and has only appeared in public froui a conscientious sense of duty. No hall, howaver large, in this country or England has ever been able to oontain the audieiices that come to Beat hor vvhenever it is annonnced that she will deliver an address. It is oaid thatso'ine of her lectures have been translated into more languages tlian the works oí any other citizen of thenew world. For tho -last two years she has written for the reform press.
