The "Dsughters of the Ciucinnati," tho new society, do not at present, it is saifl, intend to invite the members of any of the existing patriotic societies to join theiu. This decisión is noted as an initiative one and raay not be permanont. Only the lineal descendants of original members of the Ciucinnati can quíüil'y. The officers for the flrst year are: Presitieut, Mrs. James M. Lawton; vice president, Mrs. Howard Tovvnsend; secretary, Mrs. Morris Patterson Ferris; treasurer, Mrs. S. E. Johnson-Hudson; historian, Miss Fanny Schuyler, and registrar, Miss Helen F. K. Sheltn. The board of managers is to consist of the officers of the society and Mrs. R. E. Livingston, Mrs. Abraham Lansing and Miss Elizaboth Wendell Van
