Washington, Veb. ai.- The eariy ses sion of Che National Council of Women was devoted to preliniinary business matters. The meeting was eonducted behiiid olosed doors, but tlie questions discussed were of an uuimporttuic nature. There was no afterffoon session. Part of the eveuing session was held adder the auspices of the Young Ladies' National Mutual Improvement assoeiation, and considered wonian's cducation, while family and institutional life was also discussed.
