R. tracks wasjread and retened to the the sidewalk committee. A petition signed by Beal Barkham and 12 others askiug for the removal of the dog pound from the corporate limit was read by Aid. Prettyman. Resolved, that a committee of three membersof thecouucll aud the City Marshal be in8tructed to flnd a suitable focatiou for a dog pouud aud report at their varliest opportunity. Carried. A petition signed by W. F. Stieselinayer and 11 others asking for the location of a bydrant at the corner of Mary and Benjamin streeta was real aud referred to the water committee. A petition signed by A. G. Schmidt ind 12 others asking for a grade ou I'.eaks street between N. 4th Ave. and Depot St. was read and referred to Street Commiüe. The summons served upon the city clerk in the case of Francés M. DePuy vs. the City of Ann Arbor was presented to the Couucil and upon motion of Aid. Manly was retered to the City Attorney. By Aid Wood: Resolved, That the City Kngineer be and is hereby in.struoted to carry out the instructions of the resolution passed by this Council February 18, and report to this Council at the next regular meeting. Wagner: Resolved, That the matter of replacinc the partition in the 6th Ward Kngine House referred to the Committee on Fire Doparl ment, be taken from that Committee and i-eierrcd to the Board of Public Works. Manly moved that the vote upon that part of the report of the Board of Public Works made to the Council March 4th, by vvhich the same was ordered printed be reconsidered. Adopted. Aid. Manly moved íliat the Clerk be instructed to omit from the printed record that portion heretofor printed in couucil proceedings pages 137 and 13S. Carried. Aid. Martiu excused. Ey Aid. Wood: Resolved, That the sum of $j be appropiated irom the Contingent fund for the purpose of the burial of dogs killed by the pound raaster in accordaoce with the Ordinance, said pound master to be paid at the rate of 50c each. Frank Allmeüdin?er. The couimittee was called to meet Saturday, March 9, at 9 a. ni. Aid. Manly moved that the Board of Public Works be instructed to secure the use of a piece of ground of Mr. Grawford, the annual rental not to exceed $10, and build a building thereon, to be used as a dog pound, the cost of such building not to exceed $50. The motion prevailed as follows : Yeas - Aid. Allmendinger, Wood, Brown, Manly, Kitson, Prettyman, President Wines. - 7. Navs - None. Aid. Allmendhiger called tlie attention of the Council to a certaiu street in the Second ward which had no name. Upon motion of Aid. Prettyman the matter was referred to the Street comrnittee. Aid. Prettyman moved that f 10 be appropriated from the Contingent Fund to purchase a dog net for the Pound Mas ter. The motion prevailed as follows : Yeas - Aid.
