Prince Edward of York, the royal baby who may iii the long future be the head of the British empire, will shortly have his flrst Euglish made oarriage. It consists oí' a perambulator ot the highest class of workinanship, of the Princess Irene barouche patterü, is fitted up witb nonvibrating leatber huug steel springs and silent cycle wheels, with hollow rubber tires. The vehicle is upholstored in the finest dark green rnorocco leather, softly padded with horsehair cushions, so cuustructed that the iufant occupaut eau recline or ridewith face or back to tho nurse. The child's face is protected from rain by a cowhido bood, easily adjusted to auy position, and in sunshine this can be removed and the baby shaded from heat by an awning of tussore silk, liued to match the carriage aud trimmed with delicate and beautif ui lace. Baby cars of a some■what similar pattern have been built for the children of the Duchess of Fife and Princoss Henry of Prussia.
