De.nveh, .Maren 25.- Four firemen lost their lives in the firo in the Sc. James ïotel. They were; Harokl Kartwell, capain; S. Brawley, lieutenant; Riohartl Dantleyrd and Stcve Martin, firemen. AU were mcmbcrs oí lióse compaiiy No. 3 and all except Captain Hartwell were colored uen. They went down with the floor of the rotunrta and were horribly mangled and burned. There were 105 guests in the hotel, all of whom escuped uninjured. 'l'he damage by the fire amounted to $40,Ü00, about half oii the building and hall on the furniture.
