Greenhut Puts In A Denial

Peoría, Ills., April 11.- Presiden Greenhut has made the following state ment "to the public:" "In regard to the report published by the newspapers of the suit brought; 111 Chicago against me anc fellow directors by Receiver MeXulta am the reorganizaron cominittee I will b; that the charges made are malicious ani lalse; and I will iurther say that I agree to pay the sum oí $,000 to the charlties o the city if any of these parties can produce any evidence to prove that I, or any of the directors, have appropriated any of the montea paid by the companies dur'ing the purchase of properties contaiued in the bill which is said to be üled." Receiver McNulta, of the whisky trust, has brought suit against Greenhut, Nelson Morris, Sam Woolner, P. J. Hennessy aud otiiers to recover about $300, uuO which the recoiver says the parties suod absorbed. Nelson Morris says tiie charge is a "dirty lie" as regards himself and iie believes ie equally a lie as regards the others.
