Boston, Aprii lo. - Tie body of Alice StiTlmg, 8 years oíd, was found in the earth under the barn of G. W. Einmons, on Dems street, Savin Hill, Boston. Her hond had been nearly choppod off with an ax. The girl disappeared from her father' s hume in Savin Hill avenue Weiincísday. She was last seen in the company of Angus Gilbert, night agent at the S;ivin HUI slation oí the Old Colony railroad. Investigation oí the Boston pólice led to suspicion against him and he was arrested, charged with the iuurder. He strongly asserts that he is innocent. Gilbert Is 24 years old and formerly worked for tho girl's father. In payuient for chores done íor Mr. Einmons Gilbert was allowed to sleep in the loft of the barn under which the body was found. The pólice have two theoules on whioh to base their charges against Gilbart. One an assault on the girl and the othor rovenge for an old grudge against her father. A bloody ax was found in Gilbert's room and his clothing is spattered with blood.
