Washington, April 18. - A decisión has been rendered by the sccretary of the interior involving the right to pension or claims filed by persons after attaining their 16oh year, fororon account oL whoir no claim had been made during the pcriod of their pensionable minority, as ohildreD of a soldier who had died from causes originating in the service and line of ducy. This decisión is of the greatest iraportance, involving a great nuinber of pending or rejected claims. The seoretary, ia his decisión, holds that theclauíe "children ander lö years ol ago" is descriptive of á class of claims the title to which accrues to the claimant by reason of being under 16 at the death of tho father from causes originating in the service and line of diuy; and the claims of that class are excepted from the limita-tion act of March 3, 187a, and aro not forfeited by neglect to file the application during the period oL pensionable minority.
