Another chapter can be given in the domestic troubles of Rev. Isaac Aldrich, of Wayno, formerly of this city. It is j detailed as f ollows in a Wayne dispatch of April 19, to the Detroit Frt-e Press: ! The last chapter in the Rev. Mr. ' drich's trouble was enacted here ! day in the arrest of the eider for assanlt and battery, the complainant being Mrs. Aldrich. The facts as yonr reporter obtained them from the eider, are that for a time after he filed his bilí for a divorce he occupied a part of tho house where his family lived as a stndy and things were so uncomfortable that his attorney advised him to change his quarters. On April 8 he and his counsel, Ervin Palmer, of Detroit, went before Judge Hosnier and stated to him whathewished to do and thejadge asseuted to the eider taking from the house his library and furnitnre. Mr. Palmer went to Mr. A. G. Steil wagen, Mrs. Aldrich's solicitor, who agreed that Mr. Aldrich's request was reasonable and wrote Mrs. Aldrich a letter directing her to allow Mr. Aldrich to take what he wanted and also telling her that the matter had been talked over with the judge and he also advised it. The eider ■ went yesterdey forenoon with them to get his library and furniture, taking two men with him. He weat to the house and gave the letter to Mrs. Aldrich, telling her what he had como after!, She said he could not take them. He then told her that she had no right to prevont his taking them and went into the library and took a number of books and put them into the wagon. While he went back after more Mrs Aldrich took them out of the wagon, earried them away and bid them and then she went into the library and began baking the books out of there. The eider took some books away from her, bnt did not use any violence. öhe flnally aroused the town. Women and men flocked to the scène of conflict. While the eider and one of his men were taking down the bed in the library Mrs. Aldrich bolted the door and sent for Deputy Sheriff Sweegles, who came and ordered the eider to let the furniture alone. The eider oxplained to him that the property was his own and tha.t he had permission from the court to take it. The sheriff would not allow the eider to take anythiug more out of the honse. After he had gone Mrs Aldrioh went before Justicee Pattengill and sworo out a warrant for assault and tóattery, and the eider was arrested and brought back here last uight and held to bail to appear for trial on April 24. The arrest caused a great commotion and brought to the court hrraso a largo crowd. Mr. Aldrich says the arrest is wholly without cause and he thinks it was done purely for revenge and for effect upon the divorce proceedings.
