Death Of Mrs. Martha P. White

Mrs. Martha. P. White, wife of Mr. Henry K. White, diid at her home tvi miles northeast of Anu Arbor, 011 Kriday morning, April 19, after au ] IIuess of more than three months. The ; funeral was hold at the house on j day tlio 21 st, at 2 p. m., Rev. .T. T. I Sundsrland, of the Unitarian church, i ofticiating. Mrs. White was (í) yeaia of age, haring been borm in Niágara county, New York, Dec. 6, 1820. Her father, Natlmn Stone, carne to Michigan in 1835, settling in Jackson county. She waa marrlsd to Mr. ' Whito in 1845, and had lived for 47 years in the home where she died. Her husband and three sons survive her, one sou haring tliid many veare ago. Mrs. White was one of the pioneers of the county, and was widely known espocially among the older settlera. She was greatly esteemed by all who knew her. The family deslre hereby to express very sincere thanks to their nrighbors and friends for all the many kindnesses received durlng Mrs. White's illness, and in counectlon with her dpath.
