Poktsmoüïh, O., May 6.- At New BosSon the sun was shining brightly, with no lndication of rain, when suddenly a cloud descended. It became more dense and black as it carne toward the earth, when guddenly, just as it seemed to almosfc touch tho tree tops, it burst and torrents of water flooded rhe village. Every trace of tho storm, save the gulleys washed by the water, was dissipated in flve minutes and the entire progress of the phenomenon did not cover more ihan half an hour. The spaca covered by the cloudburst was not more than a quarter of a mile in diameter. Cincinnati, May 6. - Advices from southern Ohio, southeastern Indiana and northeastern Kontucky report phenomenal waterepouts. At McGonigle's station, near Hamilton, crops were badly damaged, also bridgos and fonces In Scioto county the people were greatly alarmed. About two miles from Harrodsburg, Ky., a raterspout inundated the country. Water was three feet deep in the flelds, carrying logs and fencing into the highways. Trees were blown down, a lot of out-houses carried away and crops damaged. In none of these lo cauties did the dumage extend beyond a mile square.
