To the Common Council : Your committee on sidewalks would recommend that the city rebuild the walks on the north side of Willard in front of the property of F. S. Gaige and along the property 41 East University avenno aa the grade has been re-established since said walks were built. Further, your committee would reconiinend th'at the school district bnild a stone crossing across the alley off Maynard street runing to the flrst ward school building. And further it is hereby ordered that the sidewalks be relaid and repaired on and along the following streets and in ornt of the following property in the city of Ann Arbor : ü On the west side of S. State in fron of the property of R. S. Smith. On the east side of Maynard from north line of Jefferson to plank walk in ront of the pioperty of Mrs. DePuy. On the west side of Thompson in front f22, 24 and 28, the same to be made proler width. On the east side of S. División in front f49. On the south side of Willard from i east line of Dignan property to Churcb. Be it further resolved that all such sidewalks be graded, built and repaired in the manner within the time and of the material as prescribed by an ordinance entitled "Au Ordinance Relative to Sidewalks" and the grade established. To the Common Counoil : Your committee on sidewalks have caused to be prepared and herewith siibmit the proper resohitions changing and establishing the sidewalk grade on the following named streets, viz. : Tappan street from Hill to Oakland avenue. By Alderman Coon : Whereas, in the opinión of the Council the grade of the sidewalk on the southwest side of Tappan ought to be changed and fixed and established to the end that such street may be suitable for public travel. Therefore, Resolved, and it is hereby ordered that the grade of the sidewalk on and along the southwest side of Tappan street f rom south line of Hill street to the north line of Oakland avenue be, and the same is hereby changed, fixed and established, so that the grade of said sidewalk on and along the streets aforesaid shall be as follows : At southwest corner of Hill street and Tappan street, 870.00. At 250 f eet southeasterly of southwest corner of Hill street and Tappan street, 871.00. At 425 feet southeasterly of sonthwest corner of Hill street and Tappan street, 870.50. At 450 feet, 87 0.00. At 500 feet, 869.00. At 550 feet, 868. 14. At 600 feet, 867.19. At 650 feet, 866.25. At northwest corner of Oakland avenue and Tappan street, 861.00. The elevation given being above the official datum and along the center line of snch walk, and the grade liues to consist of straight lines between the several points or stations avove stated.
