Nays - none. By Alderinan Coon : Whereas, in the opinión of the counci the grade of sidewalk on the south sido of Catherine street ought to be changec and fixed and established, to the end nat such street muy be suitable for rulbio travel. Therefore, Resolved, and it is hereby ordered, hat the grade of the sidewalk on and along the south side of E. Catlieriue treet from west line of Clark street to ;he east line of Thirteenth street be, and ;he same is hereby changed, fixed and stablished, so that the grade of aid idewalk on and along the street aforeaid shall be as follows, that is to say : At the southwest corner Clark and Catherine streets, 878.6a. At 130 f eet from the southwest corner of Clark and Catherine streets, 877. 10. At 390 feet from the southwest corner Clark and Catherine streets, 869.85. At 380 feet from the southwest corner Clark and Catherine streets, 863. 40. At 430 feet from the southwest corner Clark and Catherine streets, 860.76. At the southeast corner Thirteenth and Catherine streets, 843.87. The elevation given being above the official city datnm and along the center ine of snch walk, and the grade lines to onsist of straight lines between the sevrul points or stations above stated. II RE DEPARTMENT ?o the Common Council : Yonr committee on flre deparment to vhom was referred the petition of Broom & Craig asking for permission to build a porch on the rear of No 1 1 Maynard, would recomniend that the prayer of the petitioner be granted. Respectfully submitted, Geo. L. Moore, W. M. Shadford, John Koch, Committee on Eire Department. Adopted as follows : Yeas - Aldermen Moore, Maynard, Allmendinger, Koch, Snyder, Laubengayer, Brown, Fergïison, Taylor, Shadod, Prettyman, Coon, Bntterfleld, Cady, President Hiscock - 15. Nays - none. ?o the Common Council : Your committe on fire department to whoin was refered the matter of the purchase of a team for the department would recommend that the board of fine ommissioners be empowered to purhase a team to cost not to exceed $300 and also to dispose of the roan team if ihey deern such a move desirable. Respectfnlly submitted, Geo. L. Moore, V. M. Shadford, John Koch, Committee on Fire Department. Alderman Moore moved that the )oard of fire commissioners be allowed ;o purchase all necessary harness quired for the new team. To the Coinmon Conncil : Your committees on water and fire department to whom was referred the several petitions asking for the location of fire hydrants would report that they have examined into the locations where snch are asked for and your comniittee recommend : lst.
