New Lake Port Announced

Bpffalo, N. T., June 6.- Word was received last night from Maj. E. H. Ruffner United States engineer, that Niagara Falls has entered the list of lake ports. Recent dredging operations at Connors Island gives a channel flfty feet wide at the bottom and with a ful' depth of fourteen feet at mean lake level through the bar. The harbor behind the island is now accessible for craft that do not draw more than twelve feet at mean lake level.
