Miners Accept The Scale
Massillon, O., June 6 -The minera of Massillon inet in the rain and voted to accept the new scaie of 51 cents under protest, and at the sanio time framed a strong appeal to Govei-nor McKinley to send relief. They ask for help on the ground thtit they are now physically weak from long desutution, and that at the new rate they cannot supply themselves with the necessaries of Ufe, even with steady work. Masa meetings were held elsewhere in the district, the scale being rejeoted at Navarro, East Greenville, Dalton and Pigeon Run. In the southern Ohio field preparations are in progress for imniediale resumption.
