LouisviLLE, June 6- The Republican state convention convened at the Auditorium, which place, seating 6,000, was filled to its full capacity. Prayer was offered by Rev. J. B. Collier. Hon J. W. Yerkes, one of the candidates for senator, as chairman of the state committee made a strong speech on the existlng conditions in Kentucky and introduced OS SeniDorarv chairman Judge George Dcunw. Colonel Bradley and other leaders appeared before the committee and insisted I on a compromise silver plank. The vention remainect in session to5:30, fllling : in with speeches, when it took recess till j 7:30, awaiting the report on re9olutions On reassernbling speech-making was indulged in until the platlorm wasreaüy. It was read and adopted, and then W. Ó. Bradley was nominated for governor by acclamation. Bradley made a speech in which he indorsed the platform fully and then prooeeded to denounce the Democracy very vigorously. For an hoar nearly he poured out a philippic on the j tional and state administrations, and his speech was punctuated all through wíth i applause. The substance of the platform adoptetl is a declaration in favor of protection to Americaa industry and against the son bill, which is charged with the business depression; opposition to the state bank system and denunciation of the ; Cleveland foreign policy. On silver the platform says: "We are oppofel to the freeand unlimited coinage oí silver, ' heving that is would involve the country in finanoial ruin.
