Ready For The Cholera

Some years ago there waa an outbreak of cholera iu Franoe, and instructions were forwarded to the mayor of a certain village totake all necessary precautious, as the epidemie was rapidly spreading. At first our worthy magistrate did not know what to do. After awhile, however, he reported that he was ready to receive the dread visitor. Upon inquiry being made, it w:is discovered that by his orders a suöicient miinber of graves had been dug in the local eeinetery to bnry the entire parish if required. -
