Attempt To Rob A Bank
Colorado spkings, Coló., June O. - An attempt was made yesterday afternoon te rob the Exchange National bank, but il falled, as Sheriff Bowers had been in formed of the plot several daya ago, and officers were watohing for the would-bi robbers. At 1 p. m. Fred George and 'Red" Hutohins entered the bank, and George pulled a revolver and callod on Cashier Herin to throw up hls handg. He dropped behind the counter. George and Hutchins were quickly seized by Sherifl Bowers and Deputy Sheriff Bramleti, who followed them into the bank. E. M. Kennedy, a liveryman who wat on cuan! at the baok door, and Kobert O. McFarlan, who was in charge of a team with whioh the robbers intended to escape, were also arres led. The prisoners are residents of the Springs. It is said that Hutchins is the man who gave the Information of the plot to the pólice.
