Commencement Over
Only two of the first class to gradĂșate in the University are living. These are Edward Fish, of Hillsboro, 111.. aud George E. Pannalee, of San Francisco, Cal. Mr. Fish was piesent a the commencement exercises this year and had Qot been here since 1854. He was full of reminiscences of the olden times, when each had his own room in the dor - initory, now the north wing, and when the janitor, Patrick Kelly, raised wlieat on the campus. There were no trees on the campus then. Among other old timers present were Wm. A. Moore, '46, F. R. Chase, '49, Senator T. W. Palmer '49, Dr. Edward Andrews, '49, Major W. C. Bansom, '48, George L. Becker, '46.
