Upon ïnoton the Board proceededTo elect and inspector of manholes and brick work [at a salary of $.3.'5C"per day. The ballot resulted as follows : Wesley Hicks, 2. Wm. Merithew, 1. By Mr. Schuh : Resolved, that in the' opinión of the Board of Public Works the sewer speciflcations are what is required to ïnake a flrst class job, Therefore any employé of this Board failing to carry out the said speciflcations shall be discharged at once if in the opinión of this Board the employé has been negligent or is incompetent. Yeas- Mr. Shuh, 1. Nays - Pres. Clark, Bnllis, 2 Mr. Schuh moved that inspector Ward be instructed to go over the line of the proposed sewers in the third and fourth districts and check upthe grade of sewers and see if they are deep enough at all points to "acommodate the rear ends of all lots Yeas- Pres. Clark, Schuh, Bullis, 3. Nays - None. On motion the Board adjourned. Clerk.
