South Haven, Mich., July 16.- Yesterduy áfternoon Mr. H. Tittsworth took his new yncht "Artist" out for her trial trip in company wtth the builde rs, Messrs. Coats & Stillsun. Whn aboutfour miles north of the harbor a squaü struok and capsiz.nl her. Tho liie-saving crew went out immediately, aud soon after the tug McClure, but the yacht was so far away that the men were all drowned before the crew could reach them. All that was found was a cap which proved to have belonged to Mr. Stiüson. The reason for the boat sinking so quickly was the fact that she held a great aruount of ballast which could not be shifted, and that being new thoy had not as yet put in any air cans to buoy her.
