LONDON, July 25 -The features of yesterday'B returns were the Conservativo capture of f our Sootch seats in addition to three English seats. The temperanoe people are dellghted at the fact that Sir Wilfred Lawson was re-eleoted in the Cockerinouth división of Cumberland; but his majority was out down by 530 votes In spite of the fact that Lawson is the largest land owner in the district, while his opponent was a comparatively unknown man. The pollings for the parliamentary elections, so far as recurned. leave the state of the parties as íollows: Conservativos, Liberal-Unionists, 60; total Unioniets 386; Liberáis, 146; Parnellites, 10; McCarthyitea, Í.9; Labor, Ü; total opposition, 317. The net Conservativa gain thus far is 81. . There was a serious riot shortly Deiore the close o( the poll at Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland. J. F. Egan, the dynamiter who was recently released from prison, drove into High street, where he was met with hostlle cries of "Down wlth Egan the traitor." Egan defied the orowd and flourished a stick in a threatening manier. Eventually th diaturbance came so serious that the polloe oharged the crowd, who retaliated wlth gtlokt and Btories. Man? persons were injured durlng the fray.
