Quite a goodly number from Willis and vicinity attended the First t odist grove meeting jnear West ter. The meeting was conducted by Messrs. King, Day and John Poet. . John Greenman and Ralph Breining have arrived at Oil City, Penn. A league picnic will be held July 3. Scott W. Jones, district secretary and treasurer, and several others will be present. Stoney Creek and Ypsilanti leagurers have been invited to attend. In Willis and vicinity there are some very smart lads. Last Sunday at grove meeting they went through several buggies, whose teams they recognized, helped themselves to edibles, broke and stole glass cans, etc. It's about time those smarties took heed to their ways. What a glorious rain visited Augusta last Friday night or Saturday morning. Men in this community smile as though they had found a new quid of tobáceo. Corn and late potatoes have not got that forsaken appearance they had one week ago. Farmers around here are threshing their wheat and rushing it off to market. Perhaps they are af raid of a drop in the priee. Wheat is turning out better than was anticipated. Mr. Jay Lord is on his journey back to Rhode Island, where he is going to college to study for the ministry. Mrs. Adair, of Willis, expects to spend the winter with her daughter, Mary, at Saginaw. Mrs. Culbertson, of Oil City, Penn., is visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. W. Willings.
