There is a constant lossening of the number of strikera, many of whom are going to the west. The mines at ! Butte, Mont., Ironwood and the copper regions are drawing the men, and the efj fect niay be seen in the lessening namj bers in the parade. The exodus of minera is no indication I of the weakening of the union. The men seem flrm enough, as shown by the faot thac one mining company ofifered the $1.50 and 8a. 00 a day scale demanded by che men, but the latter would not go to work.
