Miners Strike Without Warning

Florence, Wis., Aug. 15.- The minera at the Badger mine struok without waming and as yet have not mude kuown thelr wants. Manager Davidson sayH hia company is now paying bettor wages than any mina on the range, nnd the strike is a great surprise to him. He saya he will make no ooncesslons or overtures to have them return. If the men return voluntarüy miníng wlU be resumed, otherwlaethe mino will be oloaed until noxt spring. About 400 men were employed.
