WHEREAS DEFAULT HAS BEEN MADE in the payinent of the money secured by a niortgage dated the 13th day of August, in the year 182, executed by John Spears of North Hartland, Niágara County, State of New York, a farmer and un marríejl, of tbe flrst part, to Selh G. Kowley and George W Eddy of Middleport, in ssid county, of the second part, wfilch said mortgage was re. oordeel iu the office of the Register of Deeds of the County of Washtcnaw.in liber 74 of mortgages, on page 409, on the 16th day of August, 1892, at 8 o'clock a. m. D. 1895, at ten o'clook in the forenoon of that day. which said premises are described iu said rnortgage as foliows, to-wit: All the estáte, right. title, and interest of the sid Spears (it beiug the one-half thereof sutijcet to the lite estáte of Hannah Boyce) of in and to all that tract or parcel of land, sitúate in the Township of Superior, County of Washtenaw and State of Michigan, described as follows: (Jommenctng at the Southwest, corner of Sec. 31 In Towushipof Superior, running thence north along the west boundary line of Sec. 31, elght chains aud flfty links: thence north twenty-three degrees and forty minutes east forty-four chains; thpnee north fifty-slx and one-fonrth degrees, east iwenty-three ohalns and üfty links to the north and south qnarter line to a stahe trom which a white oak, 28 inches iu diameter, stands north fourteen degrees, east flfty-iour links and a white oak, 28 luches in diameter, stands north twenty-one and one-half degree', east twenty-three links; thence south i forty degrees, east sixty chains and sixty iinks to a quarter stake on the south line of the seotion ; thence west two degrees, south along the south line of the township aforesaid, tbirty-eight chains and tiftysix links to the place of beginning, containing one hundred and sixts-one acres of land, more or less, excepting and reserving a strip of land twenty-one rods wide along the whole lentrth of the east side of said land.
