Only one grave, that of John Watterman of Rhode Island, marked vvith a rudely car ved sdhdstone, has been identified of all who died at Valley Forge duriug that perilous winter of 1778. "J. W.; 1778," are all the inarks that are on the stone, but the records show whose grave it is. All the other graves have beeu plowed over for more than a century. - Eichruond Dispatch. In wealth Pennsylvania ranks next to New York, having an assessed valuation of $1,683,459,016, owing largely to the enornious manufactures carriedonwithiu the limits of this commonwealth.
