Batavia, N. Y., Sept. 5.- When tho ínight Templars' excursión train from he west was near Batavia a lady passenger left her seat besido a little girl and went upon the platform of the car. The woman was seen to fall off the train, and when found she was considerably bruised. She gave her name as Mrs. Metcalf, after ome hésitation. Chief of Pólice Stmford, f this village, has received a letter from t. Wilcoxen, of Séneca Falls, asking for ny information which he oould give conerning Mm. Metcalf. Mr. Wilcoxen, who is president of the Séneca Falls Saviugs bank, fears that tho alleged Mrs. Metcalf is Mrs. George Kirin, of Storm Lako, Ia. Mrs. Kirlin, the ettar states, left home on the Knight fcmplars excursión for Boston with her ittle girl Mildred. It was her intontion ,o stop at Séneca Falls on a visit. Mr. Wilcoxen has received lettors every day rom Mr. Kirlin, of Storm Lake, addressed to his wife, in his care, but nothng has been hoard of her. It is believed ;hat Mrs. Kirlin gave an assumed name with the hope that by so doing her frienda and relatives would not be alarmed.
