ASHEVILLE, N. C, Sept. 5.- At lOo'clook at night a mob of 150 or more negroes and whites went to the house of Eider Tanner, colored, to run him out of town. About flf teon shots were dlscharged, two or thret of the rioters were shot, and also one woman living in the neighborhood. Tuaner escapcd injury. Policenion flnally interfered and broke up the riot. Tannor anc some of his supporters werc brought to the city jail for protectlon. Several of th rioters have been arrested.
