One of the hottest fires ever wit nessed in Saginaw broke out in the lumter piles of Randall & Koyd. A stiff wind was blowing and the blaze was in a few minutes a whirling mass of flatnes that rapidly spread from pile to pile The big plant of the Allington Curtis Co.; ffianufacturers of dust Separators, caug-ht firè and seemed certain of destruction, but góod WOrk on the part of the firemen was so eö'ectual that the loss was only SöjOOO, eovered by insurance. In the Randall & Boyd yard about 750,000 feet of lumber valued at $15,000 was consumed.
