Massillon, O., Sept. 26.- The coal miners of the Massillon district in convention here, decided to dernand au advance to 60 cents per ton after Oct. 1, and it is believed that their action will precipitafce a similar demand throughout Ohio. The minors now receive 51 cents a ton, but tho operators expected to offer 61 cents on Oot. 1, assuming that the differential tinder Pittaburg must be subtracted from Pittsburg'g cash rate. The minera eontend, however, that the ooaapany store rate of 69 cents must be taken as the basis, eiving them 60 cents in Ohio. If their denaand is refused they will strike.
