Lincoln, Oct. 8. - The Republican state oonveution was oalled to order at 3 p. in. at the Funke Opera house by the Hon John L. Webster, temporary chairman. Not all of the 1,087 delegates to the convention were present at the opening. Still there were several hnndred of thein. The conveution preliniinary was the most harmonious ever witnessed in the state
