Colonel Samuel Beek, who has been Goneral Miles' adjutant general at New York, is ordered to Washington to flll tho place at headquarters vacated by General Vincent. Lieutenant Colonel Henry C. Corbin, who has been the ranking assistant adjutant general at the department, is transferred to New York, to become adjutant general of the department of the east.
