Massachusetts Democrats

Worckster, Oct. 8.- The Massaohusetts ! Democratie state convention met in Mechanics' hall. Hon. Josiah Quincy was elected permanent chairman, and addressed the convention for about an hour, : discussing the issues between the Repub! licaii and Democratie partios. George Fred Williams of Dedham was nominated for governor. The other nominations are as follows: Lieutenant governor, Hon. James SGrinnell of Greenfield; secretary of state, Hon. Edward J. Flynn of Boston ; treagurer and receiver general, Hon. Eben S. Stevens of Dudley; attorney general, Henry F. Hurlbut of Lynn; auditor, Alfred C. Whitney of Boston.
