New York, Oct 10.- Warden Sage of the state prison at Sing Sing has discovered evidence almost conclusive that Dr. Ilenry F C Meyer has been planning another murder since he was sent to prison for life for poisoning Ludwig Brandt. The crime he is beheved to have plotted 13 similar to the killing of Brandt, and for a similar purpose- that of receiving life insuranee money. This money, if thus gained, was to be used to effect the wily doctor's release f rom prison. The evidonce consists chiefly of letters and memoranda found in Meyer's cell. It seems ahnost certain that Meyer, sinco his incarceration, has been able to send letters underground to his wife and othe'r persons outside the prison. In these letters he is alleged to have given his accomplices directions how to get the desired policy of insurance on the proposed victim's life, and carry out the rest ot the plan. How tiio Letters were Sent. There have been several masons and other citizen mechanies employed inside the prison walls during the summcr, and it is suspected that some of these have affordöd the prisoner mcans of coinmunication with his outside accomplices. Somo time ago Dr. Meyer handed a letter to the prison chaplain to be mailed. It was written in Gorman and addressed to Mrs. Meyor. In it he said that on a certain day he would send an "underground" letter whcrein he would give the "prescription" to be used. From references in this letter it was made clear that the prisoner had sent other letters through the underground channel. Then Warden Sage ordered Meyer's (11 to be searched. The keepers found her letters, memoranda and other proof wh.ch gave the. authorlties the clew to the great crime.
