Ocala, la., Uct. y.- Kirby ünner, postmaster at Dunnellon, Fia., disappeared several days ago and tlic postal authoritios at Washington have ordo red an examination of his accounts, whieh are said to be short $1,500. Griner is a young man who has taken a decp interest in the progress oí the revolution in Cuba, and it is said he has boen preparing for months to join the insurgents. One of Griner's most intímate friends is authority for the statement that the yoimg man ha- boen using the government funds to equip an expedition to aid the insurgente. Griner is said to have been buying and shipping arms to some point on the east coast for two monlhs. Reoently he purchased a small schooner, whiob he orderod to cruise near the spot where the arma were stored. When ho left here his friends say he proceeded to the cast coast, loaded the arms on the schooner, and leLt for Cuba. Four youug men who havo boen intímate with Griner left about the sanie time he did, and are said to have accompanied him to Cuba. It is statcd that Griner took about twenry men with him in all, and that he had when he left here a captain's commission in the insurgent army.
