The circuit court has been the scène this week of a long sustaiued and hard foight legal battle, of which A. J. Sawyer upon one side and B. M. Thompson, of the law faculty, and Win. Honey, of Dexter. upon the other, have exhausted every legal phase. The case is that of a will, and it has excited great interest in and about Dexter where the contestants reside. It seems that John Miller, an old and respected resident five miles north of Dexter, upon his death in 1894, left a will, bearing date of 1887, leaving in life lease his total property to his duughter in law, Mis. Anrlrew Miller, with provisiou that it sohuld go to lierchildren, provided she ïemaiued the widow of his son. The old man died a short time a ter his sou, nurspd and cared for by the daughter in javv, who resided wirn bim. The property entailed oousisted of 80 acres of laud and about $3,500 worth of rer 1 pstate. The trial of thb case was ompmenced Taesday morumg aud occupied the courc's attention nutil Thursday at ton o'clock, whmi the case went to the jury. Their decisión was reudered after a ten minutes' deliberation, the verdict sustaining the will.
