Blisters
A surgeon in the English army has found that the best way to treat blisters on the feet is to insert the point of a needie or other puncturing instrument in the sound skin about oue-eighth of an inch beyond the edge of the blister. Then pasa the needie horizonally into the blister, and if raised the liquid will run out beueath. When the raised outer skin only is pricked, it is apt to be sore and troublesoine. After the liquid has disappeared flatten the blister and cover it with absorbent cotton or sornething equally soft. Persons who have to be on their feet much of the time or those obliged to walk a great deal will find it a relief to change the shoes every other day and the stockings ea.ch morning.
