One of the most important theatrical engagements of the coming season will be the engagement of Otis Skinner.supported by his own oompany, at the Grand opera house, next Friday evening. The play which Mr. Skinner will present is a new one and if one ruay judge by the reviews it lias received both in Chicago and jn Boston, it is very strong one. The playis a favor - ite with the theater goers, first of all becanse he is a yonng man thoronghly live to the best interests of his callings, and this.his latest essay in the romantic field, will be carefnlly measnred by the high standard he has already established. His supporting company is said to be a strong one. As the title suggests. the play has been written around the noted Frenen poet, Francois Villon, who livel, loved and rhyraed about the middle of the fifteenth century, aperiod in the history of France which adapts itself particnlarly well to the reimirements of the stage. The costumes worn by prince and peasant are very picturesque and the play itself is very handsomely and accnrately staged.
