Bay City, Mich., Oct. 17.- The liabilitles of A. Mosher & Son, the lumber dealers who failed last week, it is now believed, will rcach $900,000. It is almost impossible to get at exact figures as unBecured creditors refuse to acknowledge to what extent tliey are involved. Several of these creditors in Detroit, Bay City and Flint have formed a pool to test the validity of the two mortgages given to the Union National bank of Troy, N Y., and to George H. Tilden of Lebanon, N. Y. Just how much of Mosher's paper is floating around the state can not be asceriained, but the aggregate is very large. It is also said that the liabilities of Alvin Maltby, the lumber man who was carried down by the Mosher failure, will reach in the neighborhood of $1,000,000.
